Jean Sibelius was born on the 8th of December in 1865. His real name was Johan Julius Christian or Janne Sibelius.
Amongst others he studied musics in Berlin and Wien. After his studies he turned to the University of Helsinki in 1897 and worked as a music professor and composer.
Sibelius is one of the most popular finish composers and one of only a few finnish composers who are also famous outside of Finland.
